Artyli.com gallery in Nelson Mandela Square presents a new group exhibition Into the Light featuring the work of 13 local contemporary artists. Described as "a celebration of our shared humanity and a recognition of the inimitable spirit of man", the exhibition is themed around the changes that we have felt in the past few months as we emerge from the darkness and loneliness of a world consumed with a pandemic and living in lockdown. 

Featured artists in this exhibition include Bambo Sibiya, Andrew Ntshabele, Sanusi Olatunji, Daniel "Stompie" Selibe, Teboho Makoatsa, Banele Njadayi, Dion Cupido, Karen Cullinan, Ludumo Maqabuka, Patrick Seruwu, Joao Ladeira, and Patrick Makumbe.

The exhibition opens on Saturday with live jazz by Avzal Ismail, wine, snacks and a poetry reading by poet Sarah Lubala from her book A History of Disappearance.
