The Johannesburg Holocaust and Genocide Centre (JHGC) and its partners Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung and the United Nations Information Centre Pretoria invite you to commemorate the 78th anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz for International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

JHGC's events are always incredibly well thought out and, while often sobering, ensure that visitors leave with new insights into past atrocities with them seeking to make sure they are never repeated again. The commemoration will feature a lecture by Chief Curator Paul Salmons in which he speaks about which personal artifacts from the holocaust have touched him most. In addition, there will be a candle-lighting ceremony with survivors of the holocaust.
