In photos: #JacarandaInYourPocket 2024 photowalk in Rosebank

23 Oct 2024
On Sat, Oct 19 two of our former #JacarandaInYourPocket winners – Clare Appleyard and Sarah Wilson – led a guided photowalk masterclass through the friendly, tree-lined streets of Rosebank.

With 28 enthusiastic photographers, we set out after coffee at Radisson RED Rosebank to capture the purple trees in bloom. After thoroughly exploring the district and surrounding streets in Melrose and Saxonwold on foot, we ended with a perfect sunset view high above Rosebank from Workshop17 Firestation's wraparound balcony on the 10th floor. All that snapping was hungry work, and we were only too grateful to tuck into the generous array of delicious treats from Fournos. A special shoutout to the Rosebank Management District team for providing security on the day.

Enjoy a few of our favourite shots below, showcasing the beauty of Joburg's jacaranda season. And if you're feeling inspired, find out how to enter our 2024 #JacarandaInYourPocket photo competition here.
