BKhz gallery presents Talia Ramkilawan's first solo exhibition Heart 4 Sale, filled with works described as "cynical, thotty, and in love". The women depicted in Talia Ramkilawan's works reflect contrasting themes of love, lust and loathing, and through her images the artist communicates both the awkwardness and strength of choosing to be vulnerable.  

Talia Ramkilawan is a queer South African artist and high school teacher who majored in sculpturing at the Michaelis School of Fine Art. Expressing her passion for creating radical soft sculptures Talia Ramkilawan's portraits are ''painted'' primarily with yarn, while the still lifes are made using a rug-hooking technique (a method of repeatedly threading yarn onto an open weave fabric).
