This is the place for a long and lazy Sunday brunch with bottomless cocktails, that comes with the most spectacular views of the city of Joburg. You'll find it challenging to balance your view of chef Katlego Mlambo and team's extensive brunch feast and the awe-inspiring views of the city seen from every direction, offered by the wraparound balcony. All an instagrammer's delight. 

The DJ start his set at 12 and as the afternoon draws on (we didn't get to see it on our visit) we are reliably told the small plunge pool on the deck takes on a life of its own. The rooftop venue called 999 (Triple Nine) recently hosted a phenomenally successful brunch pop-up in partnership with international megastar Jay-Z's D'usse cognac label.

Hallmark House is also home to the now landmark fine dining and live music venue The Marabi Club in the basement where Chef Katlego is usually found. The building houses residential apartments and the Hallmark House hotel (recently reopened after having been purchased by new owners). 

Brunch with bottomless cocktails is excellent value, at R450 per person and is served from 11:00-15:00. After 15:00 you can expect an a la carte menu, a full bar and a DJ at the deck until late. A super-fashionable haunt, make your fashion choice a statement and don't be surprised to see a famous personality or two lounging around the deck.
