Held in collaboration with Artist Proof Studio, Origin Art's group exhibition Layers of Meaning is a fun and accessible exploration of printmaking as a medium.

From the raw, expressive power of linocuts to the vivid colours and sharp details of silkscreens and screen prints, the tactile quality of paper pulp works, and the spontaneity of monotypes and etchings, printmaking is a medium with incredible depth and diversity. The exhibition's title refers to the process of printmaking itself, which is inherently layered, while the pieces on show journey through themes both personal and communal, speaking to the breadth of human experience. The exhibition text reads, "Each print in this exhibition is a testament to the meticulous process and the creative intuition of its maker, resulting in artworks that are layered not just in material, but in meaning."

Come for the technical mastery, stay for the emotional resonance. Bongani NdlovuNorman Catherine, William Kentridge, Lebogang MabuselaHeidi MielkeWalter Oltmann, and Jan Tshikhuthula are a few of the artists to look out for in this show.
