The Johannesburg-based artist and academic Marc Edwards has new work on show through a solo exhibition, Every Day Is A Good Day, at Kalashnikovv’s Parkhurst gallery.
Edwards, who is also a Senior Lecturer in Digital Media at the University of Johannesburg, uses art as a research tool, working predominantly with drawing, sculpture, installation, and painting.
For Every Day Is A Good Day, Edwards presents a selection of new mixed-media works that are absolutely worth a trip to the gallery to go and see in person.
At the heart of his work is a form of embodiment and an exploration of the post human – interrogating what it means to be human in a time of converging socio-economic, political and environmental crises.
Running alongside are exhibitions by Khaya Witbooi, Lucy-Jane Turpin and Nene Mahlangu. The exhibition is only up until Sat, 26 Aug. Don’t miss it!
