Taking place in both Cape Town and Joburg, Edge of Wrong 2018 features 25 experimental musicians and visual artists from around the globe including Lebanon, the UK, America, France, Switzerland and South Africa. Performances and workshops are free but donations are encouraged. Experience the hottest artists in fringe genres from noise, free jazz, and abstract electronica, to ambient, scum-punk and neoclassical, with the lineup including improvisational visual art and music ensemble As Is and noise artist Monomort.

Highlights include:
Fri Apr 27
Lebanese avant-garde experimental jazz band PRAED takes over The Bioscope in Maboneng on the first day of the festival. PRAED was founded in 2006 by Raed Yassin and Paed Conca and their sound is described as a mix of 'Arabic popular music, free jazz and electronics'. From 19:00 at The Bioscope.

Sat Apr 28 Artist Chantelle Gray hosts a workshop on gestural composition; the use of digital technology and gestures to create performance art. Inspired by pioneer gestural composer Laetitia Sonami, Gray explores how motion sensors can be used to trigger and manipulate sound during live performances.
