This large-scale performance of dancers from Joburg Ballet will be joined by two dancers from the highly acclaimed Royal Ballet company, Marianela Nuñez and Vadim Muntagirov, for two shows. Additionally, the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra will accompany the performance with live renditions of the ballet's score for all performances except 11:00 matinees on Wed, Oct 4 and Thu, Oct 5.
Nuñez and Muntagirov were originally set to perform with Joburg Ballet in March 2020, the month in which South Africa locked down, so you shouldn't miss this but opportunity to see them on stage on Fri, Oct 6 at 19:00 and Sun, Oct 8 at 14:00.
Open Day at Joburg Ballet Studios
Joburg Ballet will also host an open day on Sat, Jun 17 from 10:00-13:00 at the Joburg Ballet Studios. At the open day, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the creative process by peeking behind the curtain to watching the rehearsal.
