They’ve made a colourful corner of Melville’s 4th Ave and 7th Street in bright red, green, and yellow, and their offering brings as much joy as their décor: pastries, doughnuts, macaron, cheesecakes…if it’s made with butter and sugar, it’s on the menu.

They also offer farm-style breakfasts and simple and delicious lunches. Eggs Benedict is the way to go for breakfast, either that or an almond croissant, for lunch the homemade gnocchi is a favorite, as are the sandwiches, all served on their artisanal breads. 

Their cake selection is a must. They're all about intricate, layered cakes that require equal amounts of time and double cream to create: the Napoleon Cake uses twelve layers of puff pastry with crème patisserie between, and their Russian honey cake is made up of eight layers of homemade biscuits assembled with double cream, are their signatures. This lovely spot is also dog-friendly, so bring your pooch on a leash for a true Joburg adventure.
