Celebrating these fleeting pink and white blooms, we invite you to enter our #CosmosInYourPocket photo competition for 2025 by sharing your best shot of the season. We're hosting two cosmos experiences in March and April 2025 with friends of Johannesburg In Your Pocket. First up, a guided tour around the beautiful and historic Delta Park with Kennedy Tembo of MicroAdventure Tours on Sat, Mar 29 from 09:30 – book tickets here. The following weekend, Heather Mason aka @2Summers will lead another excursion in Delta Park, sharing tips for shooting portraits amongst the cosmos flowers on Sat, Apr 5 from 15:30 – book tickets here.
The #CosmosInYourPocket photo competition is open from Wed, Mar 19 – Mon, Apr 21, 2025. We have great prizes up for grabs from Coalition Pizza, Delta Cafe, and more to be announced soon. Where to see the cosmos in bloom in Joburg and surrounds

Plenty of reasons to stop, sip, and eat before or after you take your best shots. But of course you are free to roam much further in search of the flowers.

Sat, Mar 29 from 09:30 – Joburg's 'king of adventure' Kennedy Tembo of MicroAdventure Tours leads a guided walk around the beautiful and historic Delta Park during Joburg's annual cosmos season, to celebrate these pink and white blooms. Entrance is R350 p.p. for adults and kids over 12, while kids under 12 attend for free. Enjoy a complimentary warm drink from Motherland Coffee to start. Sat, Apr 5 from 15:30 – Join writer and photographer Heather Mason aka @2Summers for a photo walk around Delta Park to capture the beauty of Joburg's annual cosmos season, while these fleeting pink and white flowers are in bloom. The #CosmosInYourPocket 2025 photo competition is open for entries from Wed, Mar 19 from 09:00 until Mon, Apr 21 at 10:00. Voting opens on Tue, Apr 22 and the winners will be announced in our newsletter on Thu, Apr 26 and on social media. Sign up here.
