Stocked by a collective of South African designers, mostly based in Cape Town, this fresh shopping destination is a white cube space on a Melville corner. Offering locally designed fashion labels, accessories and jewellery, each of Convoy’s labels is unique and a welcome antidote to fast fashion’s mass production. A collection of youthful brands, the clothing pieces are well-cut and the overall focus is on wearability.

Look out for Celeste Lee Arendse’s innovative label Selfi inspired by architectural forms and patterns found in nature, and Lesley Whitter’s well-cut Heart & Heritage designs. Black Betty’s jewellery incorporates precious and semi-precious stones that are hand-cut.

The store’s name was inspired by the idea of young designers travelling together on a business journey.
