Kicking off Melrose Arch's Destination Christmas celebrations, is the launch of their famous Christmas lights on Fri, Nov 24 and Carols on the Piazza on Sat, Nov 25, a heartwarming pre-holidays event. 

The renowned Drakensberg Boys Choir perform classic Christmas carols under the stars spreading the holiday joy. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the choir as well as to SA Harvest, a food rescue and hunger relief organisation that has been making an impact by delivering millions of meals to those in need. The donations from this event will further their mission to end hunger and address its root causes. 

Vaughan van Zyl, the Artistic Director and Conductor of the Drakensberg Boys Choir, promises a delightful musical experience. They've prepared a fresh Noël repertoire, featuring traditional Christmas classics, beloved favourites, and some of their unique choir numbers as well as a vibrant Afro-Pop programme that are sure to get the audience up on their feet and dancing along. Tickets are now sold out, however, you can make reservations at The Grillhouse, MiHa and Mezepoli (restaurants located along the Piazza) to view the performance.

Carols on the Piazza is just the beginning of the Destination Christmas celebration. There will be a whole season of fantastic events and activities lined up, including the exclusive Johnny Walker Blue Label Umami pop-up, the Pringles x Fanta Playground, a festive market along the High Street and even visits from Santa and his elves. With extended retail hours from 1 to 23 December, you'll have the perfect opportunity to get all your Christmas shopping done.
