From arts and crafts and health and wellness products to preservative-free and colourant-free home-baked goods, the outdoor Bryanston Market is hands down one of the best places in Joburg to shop for local gifts. Among the more than 60 stalls are dozens of talented artisans producing unique handcrafted items from a range of materials using traditional techniques, as well as stalls selling produce from local organic farms and a delightful tea garden.

On Freedom Day 2021 (Tue April 27), Bryanston Market opens for a special Autumn-themed market, specially designed with families in mind. There are loads of activities for the kids to take part in including arts and crafting activities and puppet shows and magic shows at the children's theatre (performances at 11:00, 11:45, 13:00 and 13:45).

The Freedom Day Market is open from 10:00-17:00 and entrance costs R10.
