Join Harry Kalmer in conversation with fellow South African novelist Ivan Vladislavić at the launch of his new novel <em>A Thousand Tales of Johannesburg</em> at Melville's independent bookshop Love Books. Spanning more than 100 years of Joburg history the novel follows the lives of a variety of characters all caught up in the heady excitement and dangers of life in the city. Described as a 'spellbinding ode to Johannesburg and its people', Kalmer's characters range from survivors of the Boer-war concentration camps to Congolese refugees.<br /> <br /> The launch takes place at Love Books in Melville on Wed Feb 8 from 18:00.
