Bean There is a truly unique coffee company dedicated to direct fair trade, single origin beans, and achieving the optimal roast. Their coffee carries the Fairtrade Certification Mark which focuses on improving labour and living conditions for farming communities. Each single origin coffee can be traced back to the farmers who are paid directly to keep their business sustainable.
It's one thing to enjoy a delicious cappuccino at Bean There, but for something truly special, they offer a one-day home barista course to achieve that perfect café-style espresso at home. If you own a manual espresso machine, this course is the best way to learn grinder calibration, espresso preparation, and milk heating and texturing.
Watching YouTube videos just isn’t the same as learning from an expert in-person to understand the aromas, textures and mouth-feel first hand. Besides for an improved coffee brewing technique, a home barista course includes a notebook and pen, reference guide, bag of coffee beans, and a coffee break. Courses take place in a dedicated training school above the café at 44 Stanley with a maximum of six students.
The courses run once a month on a Saturday from 09:00-13:00, with a maximum of six participants.
