58 Seconds Tours

  City Centre          +27 83 309 4275     30 Apr 2024
Many of the 58 Seconds tours are led and individually curated by Hugh Fraser, an architect with a talent for storytelling. Fraser began touring unofficially many years ago by providing architectural tours for the former head of school at the University of Johannesburg, Lesley Lokko [OBE, Ghanaian-Scottish architect, academic, and novelist], showing top global architects around the city, and soon expanded. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Fraser had time to slow down, study, and officially become a nationally registered tour guide.

The 58 Seconds tours cover Johannesburg, Soweto, and Pretoria. Fraser blends architecture, history, human rights, apartheid, music, and culture, ensuring every moment is filled with fascination and fun. When touring Johannesburg and the surrounding areas, a visit to the Constitutional Court, part of the Constitution Hill Precinctand Soweto is a must. However, Fraser weaves a narrative around the route to include the best that the city has to offer.

58 Seconds tours are available every day of the week, and guests are picked up at their accommodation (within city limits) and dropped off wherever they'd like to go, providing even more convenience for this unique perspective on Joburg.
