Giving you the chance to see Dublin through Joyce’s eyes and ears. Each tour lasts approx. 80/90 mins and starts at the James Joyce Centre (see listing).

A Joyce Circular - Tues & Sat 11:00
Take in Nth Earl St and the Joyce Statue (irreverantly dubbed the ‘Prick with the Stick’), Belvedere College where Joyce attended school in the 1890’s, the house where Leopold & Molly Bloom lived and the house where Sean O’Casey was born. The tour can take place on other days but has to be booked two weeks in advance.

Dubliners - Thurs & Sat 14:00
Wander through the turn of the century Dublin recreated in Joyce's stories, specifically Dubliners which he finished 100 years ago. Discover a city full of politics, intrigue, religious devotion and ties of family in this fascinating tour.

In the Footsteps of Leopold Bloom Tues 14:00, Thurs 11:00
This tour explores the background to Joyce’s Ulysses and to Bloom’s thoughts as he crosses the city in the ‘Lestrygonians’ episode. A humorous contrast of well-fed and under-fed citizens is mixed with a commentary on city buildings, and the presence of police constables reminds us of the realities of Dublin as a colonial city.
