However, that said, we can say without any reservations that hiking in the mountains around Herceg Novi are an absolute must for everyone who visits! The views are absolutely breathtaking, the air is cooler and fresher during the summer months, and pretty much all roads upwards lead to some well-marked hiking path. The best place to start is at one of the many official Herceg Novi tourist information centres dotted around the coast, where you can pick up hiking maps and ask any questions you might have.
