Tucked away a peaceful little square in the lower quarter of the old town, the Church of St Jerome was built in the mid-19th century on the place as the original 17th century Catholic church, also dedicated to the same St Jerome, who is venerated by both Catholic and Orthodox Christians. The square offers lovely views of the bay, as well as a collection of ancient anchors and cannons set along the southern wall.
