Basically a red line painted on the pavement as a guide to 36 places of interest in the city and weaving its way over a 4.2km route in the centre of the city, the Red Line (or Red Thread) is an interesting and original diversion taking in the main sights of the city as well as a few surprise such as a series of bus and tram stops that the city has been building with the help of artists from all over the world since 1994.
