There are few things more Dutch than a meal-sized pancake drenched in lovely cane sugar syrup, and the best place to sample these in Groningen is on this original clipper ship from 1908. Below deck, simple wooden tables are aligned below the portholes, and there's a small children's playroom. There are dozens of options besides the classic syrup pancake, try exotic ingredients like bacon, banana, ginger and pear, or a Turkish or Greek pancake.
