'Stamppotten' (dishes with mashed potato and veggies) are an integral part of Dutch cuisine. To leave the country without trying one or a couple, would be an insult to many Dutch people. And this is one of the better places in town to order an 'andijviestamppot' or 'boerenkoolstamppot'. These cheap and hearty meals are best consumed in the colder months of the year, mainly due to the high calorie count. Although this is mainly a typical winter dish, in summertime the menu here reveals some stamppotten too. The giant outdoor terrace is another benefit of this cosy and cheap restaurant.
