Groningen's monumental train station is a pleasure to arrive in. Luggage lockers of varying sizes and prices can be found on the main platform. Buses to the university, suburbs and airport depart directly outside; every couple of minutes there's a bus to the Grote Markt main square; a single ticket bought from the driver costs €2. However, the city centre is also easy to reach on foot in about 10-15 minutes. Just follow the crowds across Groninger Museum bridge and straight ahead into Ubbo Emmiusstraat and Folkingestraat; turn right on Vismarkt square to reach the Grote Markt.
