The silhouette of the huge, shimmering in the colours of this basilica's gold dome is visible for miles around. The Lichen Basilica is the largest church in Poland, and the sixth-largest in the world. It's a unique place, which attracts both hundreds of thousands of pilgrims and an equally large number of tourists every year. The Basilica is only a part of the great Marian sanctuary.
