Located on the shore of the lake Sävelången, Nääs Slot has been attracting looks ever since it was built in 17th century. The castle was built for hinting parties, but the history of the land itself goes further back, no one knows for sure how much. In the second half of the 19th century Nääs Slot was transformed into a world-known Crafts College, which earned it a name 'Sweden's window to the world'. Nowadays, Nääs Slot is a gallery, and can be visited every weekend from May to September from at 12.00, 13.30 and 15.00, as well as for pre-booked tours the rest of the year. You can also visit their restaurant and café, or book a room in the castle.
