Göteborgs Remfabrik is a well preserved Textile Heritage Centre originating from the end of 19th century. The Centre was built in 1891 and was operating until 1977, when it was closed down. In the past few decades, almost no changes were made to it, even the tools were left in their places. Nowadays, Remfabrik is run by volunteers who are not just maintaining it, but also producing ribbons and lace for the museum's shop as well as give guided tours.
