We love everything about this place, from the peaceful estate grounds and charming rustic tasting room to the elegant, minimalist logo that seems inspired by stylised Japanese or Persian calligraphy. Ah yes, and the wine is also second to none of any we've tasted from the region. In fact, we'd go as far as saying that a wine tasting at Witches Falls is obligatory for any oenophile visiting the area, while those who aren't viticulture experts (ourselves included) will still have an enjoyable experience as they're guided through the tasting by the incredibly knowledgeable and delightfully engaging staff.

On our first visit here we not only discovered some marvellous wines, but also drastically improved our understanding of Queensland's wine regions as well as Australian wine as a whole – all for the price of $6! Witches Falls is also unique in that it's the only winery on Mount Tamborine that does all of its production onsite, parts of which you can actually observe through large plate glass windows behind the bar. Gold Coast locals might want to considering joining the Wine Club, with members benefiting from generous discounts on purchases as well as invitations to special, members-only events. The cellar door is open to visitors every day of the year except for Good Friday and Christmas, with bookings are essential for groups of six or more.
