Tamborine Mountain is a strange place. For instance, you likely wouldn't expect the liveliest precinct of a town its size to be centred around a cheese shop, but that's indeed the case with Witches Chase Cheese – although to be fair, the neighbouring bistro and brewery are probably equal contributors to the convivial atmosphere. However, at the end of the day the centre's raison d'être is the cheese shop and adjacent factory, where master cheesemaker Mike Reeve handcrafts as fine a cheddar, brie or blue as you'll find anywhere on the continent. Ordering a cheese platter with your choice of accoutrements is always a great idea, especially if you take it outside and grab some craft beers or local wine to accompany it. We recommend being judicious with your sampling though, as the different varieties of cheese are so flavourful and appetising you'll likely have a difficult time deciding which to buy or end up buying much more than you intended.
