Located in the northern suburb of Helensvale, the Westfield mall isn't the easiest shopping centre to reach by public transport despite being adjacent to the Queensland Rail station of the same name. However, it is on the way to both Warner Bros Movie World and Dreamworld, so if you're headed to either and have your own car, there are 2000 free parking spaces with your name on them. There are some 240 different shops and restaurants, with Kmart, Target, Coles, Woolworths and Aldi serving as the major anchor tenant, the later is one of our favourites, as it reminds us of all the years we spent living in Europe, and also has some great deals on high quality products. For visitors who aren't familiar with the Westfield name, it's one of the oldest and storied in Australian retail, although it did technically split into two companies back in 2014, with Australian and New Zealand centres now officially operated by the Scentre Group, but it will still always be Westfield to us.
