In an Australian-first, two of the world's leading fireworks designers who were responsible for the London Olympics and the Beijing Olympics ceremonies will go head-to-head with awe-inspiring aerial shows of exploding colour, light and sound off Surfers Paradise beach for SeaFire on Saturday, April 1.

Boasting a full 30 minutes of cutting-edge fireworks displays, up to 60,000 people are expected to witness the two competing international teams each fire off 10-minute displays, creating a stunning, multicultural celebration of the universal appeal of fireworks.

A third fireworks display by one of Australia's very own leading pyro companies, Skylighter FireworX, will conclude the aerial spectacular, while audiences will also be thrilled by heart-thumping entertainment including jet-ski freestyle stunt teams during intermission.
Opening the thrilling night of hypnotic performance, a special tribute show to the Australian Navy will take place on the beach stage, where a live band will play the Australian National Anthem as a Seahawk chopper whirrs above the iconic shores of Surfers Paradise beach, and the esteemed Royal Australian Navy Band Queensland will entertain visitors from 2pm to 4pm.
