Even if you're not lucky enough to be a guest at the luxurious Sofitel Gold Coast Broachbeach, it doesn't mean you can't treat yourself to one of the city's finest culinary experiences at chef Sam Moore's intimate, two-dozen seat Room 81 located within. While there are 9-, 7-, 5- and 2-course seasonal degustation menus available, if you're going through the effort of making a reservation here, you might as well go all the way with the 9-course adventure along with paired wines, which will dent your wallet for around $200, but you only live once, right? We're not food critics so we won't get into the details, but Room 81 has won multiple awards and recognitions, including Two Chef Hats from the Australian Food Guide, so you don't have to take our word for it. We do recommend arriving a bit early so you can enjoy a aperitif in adjoining lounge.
