What Dreamworld and Warner Bros Movie World are to fun-seeking families, Antique & Collector's Books is to bibliophiles – a paradise for book lovers, where you could easily spend an entire day browsing the collection that numbers over 100,000, covering everything from contemporary popular fiction and literary classics to military history, self-help and rare out-of-print collector's items as the shops name attests. Other than the $2 bargain bin out front, don't expect to find many bargains here, as most prices fall in the same $8-15 range that you'd expect to pay for new books from the online Goliaths that have driven independent bookshops to the edge of extinction over the past couple decades, but we consider time spent here as an invaluable and intellectually invigorating experience, which is well worth the price paid, especially considering that there is no admission fee.
