Failte! That’s Gaelic for welcome! And a warm one you’ll get from hosts Catherine and Angus MacDonald. The Gaels are more than happy to converse in English if you’d prefer, but tartan plays its part subtly throughout this fine stately terraced town house in leafy Broomhill. Each en suite bedroom is named after a Scottish island and the opulent four poster beds are swathed in those warm plaids. An ideal location for visiting Victoria Park and its Fossil Grove. Discovered in 1887 it contains the fossilised stumps of 11 extinct Giant Club moss trees and is the city‘s most ancient visitor attraction.
