A magnificent example of an Ottoman-era Gjirokastra citizen's house, this towering house dating from the early 1700s is one of the best preserved houses of its kind in town. It was returned to the Skenduli family in the 1990s, who expertly guide visitors around the building, taking in the beautiful top-floor reception and wedding rooms, and the more functional family rooms, hammam baths and store rooms below. Highly recommended.
