Ruined, massive walls indicate the location of Shen Triadha castle, guarding Gjirokastra and the Drinos valley from its hilltop position above Topullaraj, 3km north of Gjirokastra. Ottoman governor Ali Pasha had it built around 1800, and included a small church for the Orthodox soldiers in his army. A winding gravel road leads up to the ruins from the village.
