Founded in 1987, Germany's largest gallery of caricature, cartoons, satire, humour and criticism offers changing exhibitions. Parallel to the documenta exhibition, the museum presents the concept of "comic art" as a valuable separate genre within the visual arts. The best pictures of 2019 are on show until February 9, continuing a time-honoured tradition at the gallery that shows no sign of slowing down. 2019 was quite the year — an understatement — and that madness is expertly detailed in these delightful drawings. We can’t wait to see what 2020 holds.
