This park in Nordend contains fantastic suburban architecture like the peculiar Holzhausenschlösschen; a moated baroque summer residence. The castle frequently holds classical music concerts, exhibitions and other events. There is a large playground for children. However, dogs aren't allowed in the park.

I lived on Hammanstrasse across from this park from 1950 through 54. It was a wonderful place for children to play and I fondly remember building "snow forts" in the winter and watching the swans in the summer.

This park is a gem. In the 1950s, as a child, I lived half a block away. In summer swans glided round the pond, in winter there was ice skating. A paradise for children and lovely for families.
