This former palace of renowned tobacco merchants and manufacturers Josef Maria Markus and Jakob Bolongaro is the largest private residence of its type built during the period of the late 18th Century. Baroque in architectural style, exhibitions include more priceless Höchst porcelain pieces from Passau and Höchst, the Choir Room, as well as other richly decorated rooms. It serves today as an official government office, and is perhaps most appreciated for its beautiful garden that opens out directly onto the Main.
