Directly across from the riverfront, Salvatore began his pizzeria in 1968, when he was just 17 years old, making 300 hundred pizzas a day for ravenous Frankfurters. Still considered to be one of the best and friendliest pizzerias in town, he has since expanded the operation into a complete bar and restaurant, albeit a fairly small one. The food is divine, and Salvatore and his staff are exceptionally jovial, if not a little flirtatious with all the ladies in the house. We highly recommend the salmon tortellini, which is homemade and tastes every bit of it, creamy yet light and superb coupled with soft Italian bread on the side.
