Foča might not seem like the most obvious place for such a structure, but the third biggest temple in the Serbian Orthodox faith is found in this little corner of Republika Srpska. Construction started in 2006, and there is little denying the quality of the work. The temple stands in a park close to the centre, with a mosaic of the building stood plaintively in front of it. The temple is very much a functioning, living, breathing house of worship, with ceremonies taking place every Sunday, along with special events on the days of certain Serbian Orthodox saints. The image from the front is impressive enough, but don’t forget to see how far this building stretches out. Immense.
