Found in a supremely idyllic spot on a hill above the village of Miljevina, the Temple of St. Ilja is just about as tranquil as things get in and around the adrenaline capital of BiH. The church was built in 1939, although it wasn’t until 1994 that electricity and running water made it to this holy spot. The temple is used for services and funerals, although the annual celebration on August 2 can be quite the experience.
