Maglić is the highest peak in Bosnia & Hercegovina and boy does it feel like it. If you find yourself at the very top of this beaut then you’ll be standing 2,386m in the air, with both BiH and Montenegro at your command (not literally). The mountain peak lies within the majestic Sutjeska National Park, and while it isn’t the easiest to climb it is the sort of major mountain that you might find yourself alone whilst doing so. Prijevor is the recommended starting point for any experienced climbers looking to scale Maglić, although the elevation from here can be quite daunting. There are a couple of spots where falling really isn’t an option. If climbing is your bag then you should be more than fine, and the views from the top are outrageously special.
