Waltons was founded here in 1922 by Martin Walton and is now run by the third generation of the family. In an area rich in cultural and artistic talent and heritage, you can also find the Dublin Writers Museum, Hugh Lane Gallery, Gate Theatre, Ambassador Theatre and Findlaters Church all on the doorstep of this beautifully restored Georgian building.
The ethos behind Waltons is music is for all, and the involvement they have in the community is reflected in their support of project and festivals such as The Waltons Guitar Festival of Ireland.
Waltons is a very welcoming shop and if you're looking to buy a special gift check out the beautifully decorated bodhráns and, downstairs, a particularly fine display of pianos and harps. Absorb the atmosphere and history of this evocative building that's well worth a visit.
