Over the years this colossus of a venue has staged many memorable and stellar performances with U2, Paul McCartney, Pavarotti, Michael Flatley and two Eurovision Song Contests wowing the crowds - though not at the same time, you understand. The RDS is spread across four facilities: the Concert Hall (cap. 900), Main Hall (3000 - 5000), Simmonscourt Pavilion (up to 7000) and RDS Stadium (over 35000). Its versatility is such that it also regularly hosts key shows, conferences and sporting events covering everything from fashion to family, homes and gardens, careers to cars... and plenty of rugby fixtures in between.
