Chill out in this superb public park's 300acres of woodlands and walks c.10km from the city centre. Tennis courts, a BMX track, football pitches, a cricket pitch and playground keep all sorts entertained and, during summer, there's a miniature railway takes root. It's a fantastic place for flying kites and, in recent years, has held big-name concerts (REM, Oasis, The Who...) attracting audiences of up to 30,000. On Saturdays, an excellent Farmers' Market in the Craft Courtyard of Marlay House (daily summer garden tours) keeps visitors stocked up with all things nice.
