At Dropull's southern end, 500 metres above sea level and surrounded by the forests and mountains that mark the border with Greece, pretty Sotira village is known for its natural setting, cobbled streets, chestnuts and potatoes, a protected fir forest, some iconic maple and oak trees, and a 13th-century monastery. Six further hamlets lie scattered around the hills here, great destinations for short hikes: Selos has a remarkable church and castle ruins, Koshovica an old monastery.
