The medieval Christian reformation is a subject that inspires long debates and heated discussions (not to mention all the wars that came about at the time), but we’re more than happy to view the vital part of history through a modern aesthetic lens. With that in mind, the Reformed Church in Cluj-Napoca is a hugely interesting structure, all mighty Gothic architecture and a serious sense of intimidating strength. But there is a fragility to the interior, not least in the wooden pulpit and delicate art that permeates throughout. Many concerts are held here, as musicians look to make the most of the unbeatable acoustics.
