Opened in 2006, the Senedd is also known as the National Assembly building and it does exactly what it says on the tin. This glass building has a stunning locating on Cardiff Bay, and while it primarily has an administrative and political purpose there is also plenty to see and do for the curious visitor. Public art fills its entrance, and visitors can even sit in the public gallery during National Assembly plenary sessions, although we can’t promise that the inner-workings of government will be particularly exciting. It is the architecture of the building itself that really charms, an environmentally-friendly design that is about as Instagrammable as it gets.
