Deciding to leave Cape Town for the day isn’t an easy decision, but the magic of Cape Point will soon have you swooning. This is natural aesthetics at their most incredible, an amazing combination of ocean and mountain scenery that will have you believing in a higher power. This is essentially the top (or bottom) of the world, where Africa ends, a world unto itself that is full of curiosities, intrigue, history and nature.

More than 1,100 indigenous plant species are found here, while the Flying Dutchman Funicular ferries visitors to the stunning view point throughout the day. Nature and nurture, working together. You might even see some whales in these parts (June to October), so don’t forget those binoculars.
